I can really only go off the same announcements everyone else can, but I would be fairly confident to say that they would have recruited the additional 25 patients as per the same criteria by which they recruited all other patients.
If this were not so, the additional patients could not be used to add additional statistical power to the primary endpoint - which we know not to be the case! :)
