I did not suggest Li-Ion batteries, as they are very expensive, but an Australian battery provider by the name of Gelion (LSE:GELN). They have developed the Endure battery using Zinc and Bromide. It is not temperature dependant, requires no air conditioning, can be totally emptied without impacting the storage performance, cannot catch fire and costs much less than a Li-Ion setup. The battery is perfect for remote installations, provided power is generated locally.
