Goldie, "Why now?"

To perhaps counter-balance the frenzy of positivity on this forum which was raised by rampant speculation about supposed company-making deals, about which we really know very little, and which IMO have been heavily spun, just like in the old days. Some of the claptrap made me feel like puking.

It's all just noise until the deals are done and announced. No chance that some of it might be traders who bought in low, trying to spruik up the price before bailing?

To let the board know that not everyone is deliriously happy with their performance, especially relative to their remuneration. They've had their free shares - why do they need to double-dip?

And to express outrage at the ineptitude shown in ASX announcements, especially the last cash flow statement which fell dramatically short of forecasts due to "unplanned expenditure" of close to $1M. How can that occur in a well managed company? What happens if that recurs?

Anyway, does the patter on this forum really have much impact? And even if it did, if the company is in such fine shape that a cap raising won't be required, do long term investors really give a toss about the short term ups and downs in the share price?
