There's an article on Chalice on afr online, not sure if it's in the weekend paper or not.

It's copyright so I can't post it but it basically is just the announcement. The extra bit is about Eritrea and they're saying the 10% with an extra 30% option is better than other countries like Egypt and Sudan. They describe the mining terms as "relatively liberal" and say that there are more than a dozen foreign companies with exploration licences but analysts expect this to "accelerate dramatically in the next five years".

That's mostly my own words, so hopefully won't get tou'd.

This is the first time that I've seen such confidence expressed about mining in Eritrea. So together with hainholz's posts about other companies moving to production, the picture is definitely getting better IMO.

Although, as demonstrated by the current problems in Ivory Coast which was very stable for a long time, there are no guarantees.
