    Welcome aboard, I'm enjoying your contributions. Lets continue the discussion about sin.

    As you noted we are all sinners and worthy of death. So what happens then when one has repented? We do not instantly become like Jesus as is quite obvious. Sure, we might give up the obvious sins that are in our life but we continue to sin in other ways. You listed the ten commandments and you probably know that not one person (except for Jesus) has ever been able to keep even one of them, even after conversion. The Bible also teaches that sin is not what we do, it's what we are. So then what is the role of the continued presence of sin in the lives of believers?
