Read the release for the third time last night and to me, it makes little sense...
ENI is holding cards and MEO are only given scant information.
Juergen, you and the team are doing a good job, but no need to add quote at end of releases if comments are limited, and in this instance are contradictory.
"The wireline logging program in Blackwood-2 could not conclusively establish the presence of deeper gas"
And in key points in header: "Gas shows have been observed below the previously interpreted gas water contact"
Obviously gas shows in the column are known as they were returned in the mud early in the day. Doubt eventual logs have been made available to MEO though. Therefore MEO is, should I say it, the 'blind monkey' in the picture.
Btw, ENI does not need a bloody board meeting in Rome to make a call on prod test.
MEO has hands tied and that's OK. We're all in the same mire and as hopeful as the next exploration outfit.
I hold and wait for next release on conclusive production test. ENI have told market there are resources in area and P68 is part of that picture. Same goals but a corporate beast calling shots with no obligation to MEO shareholders or ASX. Simple.
