MEO did a great job in getting Blackwood 1 on the board as a discovery. Appraisal is another story, I think. If Blackwood is Hp/Ht the field may be analogous to Elgin-Franklin in the UK (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elgin–Franklin_fields and note ownership structure).
Basically, MEO may be out of their depth with Blackwood and may not understand themselves what ENI is chasing. This is due in part by ENI excluding MEO and also by MEO not being able to contribute too much technically...(sorry MEO team if out of line here...)
Can't blame anyone if some of the MEO stalwarts jumped on Friday but gee, this may just get a whole lot interesting from here.
If B2 is a winner, MEO needs a medal for discovery and ENI will need a decent budget to get it to sanction...
