Will be interesting to watch these two alongside each other over the coming months given Ruralco was keen to acquire Elders last year but with the changes they have dropped that aspiration, for now.
Maybe in the future the merging of these two may become a topic again but given the acrimonious dealings of the last 24 months and many left Elders to join Ruralco I suspect there is still some emotional rivalry between the two. The question might come down to is there room (enough profit) for two very comparative companies to exist in that segment.
