    Hi All,

    I am very new to trading and still haven't quite worked out the t+1 rules etc etc

    I just want to clarify for example
    If I buy say 50k worth of shares @ $1.00 and sold it at $1.10 the very same day, does the two settlement cancel each other out and I don't need to have money in my account?

    I have only ever bought shares when I had the money in my account.

    P.S I use Comsec for brokerage.
