Im not sure where that was published regarding Li-ion battery 3% cost is lithium component. That is horrendously wrong. I see it mentioned 2011 but still horrendously wrong. I remember reading that in a not so late company research data and had to laugh.
Take for instance 65kg of LCE in a Tesla model 3. Approx $15/kg to be conservative. That works out to $975 in each car battery. Surely the batteries wouldn't cost $32,000?
