ambitionite dont know if i had a huge head start - weather bureau site readily available and rainfall data - but yes i guess we have more of an idea how much rain is significant and also timing - i first bought gnc 25 May when it appeared planting rains were widespread - i then bought more when is seemed follow up was fairly widespread, but also the soi or southern oscillation index was highly positive which means we werent in an el nino
I am thinking of taking some profits ( 35 % ok in this market in a short time ), as though crop outlook good, there may start to get an element of takeover speculation built into the price. I am also not a fan of most rural management and boards as there has been plenty of stuff ups made - mostly the board members dont reign in ( or see through their spin ) the executive - i believe that to be the normal problem with rural companies - industry is normally ok if business well run!
