Last Pair I bought were $90 from Cairns Airport.. Not suggesting that Billabong as we know it will be sold in Kmart, but many brands that have been de-valued have appeared in these type stores. The name is sold and resurface as mass produced inferior products. I can think of a few brands that at one stage were quality and are now just cheap mass produced entry level products.
1. Rivers use to be a brand name and quite expensive
2. Hang Ten in it's day
3. Finsbury pumps, went broke the name was bought and resurfaced as cheap chinese imports.
Never say never.
And I have seen boardies in Australia priced over $100, they have stayed on the rack.
