I did post on this over the weekend- seems the shorts seem to be exiting for good? need a few more days data - All of these types of websites are just a guide the numbers are not exact and have a four day lag-

Much like broker data - which can also be misinterpreted just because of the lag in trading ....

The positions re shorts have now gone sideways for a few days - ie no covering as yet- so at last count about 5 mill current short positions left - so negligible- I would not even bother following the numbers once their direction to make a final exit is confirmed.
Dropped in the last two weeks from about 22 mill ...
So now I am pondering the conspiracy behind the exit- just sideways too long OR possible other happenings to incite a large exit with no cover- interesting- I am not familiar with the various scenarios when shorts get caught in admin or other reasons why they would be closing in this situation- which appears to be what they are doing.
