Personally I think graphene will be the big driver given a few years ...Sorta like the game changer that was Duponts invention of plastics in the 1950's. Take a look around where your sitting how many plastic things are you using right now?
Car of the Future has Graphite for batteries yes... but likely the rest of the Car (Engine , body, chassis tyres) being a mix of Graphene /Carbon Fibre/ Steel/ Plastic to reduce weight ... Yes I did say tyres ... even Graphene imbedded in the rubber of the tires (is being looked at)..
