It was surprising given the positivity all the way through and upbeat approach to the trials (though I guess that is the way it might always be with candidates) that they did drop it stone cold after the trials failed - perhaps they were simply too good at the spin and had everyone convinced (including themselves), or perhaps they totally misread possible warning signs.
I'm still perplexed. Is there possibly more to all of this - perhaps some key factors that shareholders were unaware of that could open a can of worms if ever divulged? Doubt we'd ever find out.
