I am a balance person - I can see the value in the asset long term, but at the same time doubt the company will survive that long. If it does then that's awesome.

I do disagree with the "you are here" label on the graph above, my thinking it is closer (one or two points either way) to the "your best opportunity" tag.

Either way though, we are in the position where if the company survives as a floated company then we may well come out of this mess ahead. If it doesn't then yes eventually it will be a tax write off (almost a pity I have to wait for next year though).
You are certainly right about one thing: the board/management both current and previous do not seem fit to run a company, and I hope that whomever comes out of this all holding the reigns swiftly and firmly cuts out the dead wood (pardon the pun) so that at the very least this timber can be of value to someone (if not me).
