Interesting. Anecdotally I had heard that all available BNTC shares for short selling had been lent out to those wishing to make the most of the 'post-IPO distress'.
But no reason to doubt your statement. I guess the real observation is then: you don't need to short a stock in order to 'manipulate it downwards' (just check out the ASX auction period everyday!)
