And growth by acquisition is also a pathway for success. I work for an organisation that has grown to a $780m business as a private company and is largely by acquisitions. This has provided leverage to then organically grow by the sheer size of the company and diversity of the business. We can tender on large projects successfully as we are financially strong and a low risk option.
The key is how to successfully integrate the acquisitions and make them profitable. This is the challenge here at present.
