Matt has always driven this ship. He stepped off the board briefly while the huge payments were made to Trip, but once finished, he stepped back onto the board and resumed control.
He has never given satisfactory explanations as to the largess of the payments to Trip. They could have got this business without the payments as he was on the board of BETR and Trip had a contract to bring that business to BET anyway for the huge shares and options he was given.
The question now is how much of the free cash will again go to these guys for deals that have no performance criteria and a forever (if ever) payback and allow shareholder's fund to be dissipated amongst friends and families?
