I just looked up Roy Raymond.
I imagine has passing was more due to his emotional and mental state at the time (divorce, failed business, etc) rather than resentment towards someone being successful off his creation.
It's a tragedy that may have happened irrespective of Victoria Secret success, and could have possibly been avoided if he reached out to someone. Very sad.
