We have solid evidence that BG has not been the root cause for the SP drop.
This was deduced from broker data from Feb 2022:
This means that BG has followed the price down past each of his 'minimum sell' limits before giving Shaw the new number. At it's worst, BG's selling would slightly muffle rises and deepen drops, not send the SP crashing. The only way I could see the SP being way higher without the selling is if we could have had a one or more large buyers that have been spooked away by BG.
With this in mind, I really think 'the BG issue' does more damage to sentiment than it does to the actual SP. We have a fundamental issue of a lack of buyers; both because RAC aren't well known in mainstream retail, and because current longs are pretty much tapped out. Constantly rehashing BG's selling does nothing than perpetuate FUD. The selling cannot continue indefinitely, and has absolutely no impact on the insanely positive fundamentals that RAC has been producing.
Ultimately, the clinic will decide the fate of the SP - not Bill.
