    most people won’t admit to picking bottoms, (not a nice habit), so thanks for your honesty. Sitting on the sidelines probably is safer - opportunity losses hurt less than realised losses.

    I feel the same way as you in that 1. We could still see a much larger fall in the broader market (it’s not rising rates that’s the problem, it’s quantitative tightening). 2. Yes news is expected, but we need to be patient, probably more patient than we would like, and that’s hard against a backdrop where everything is going to shit (even the ‘blue chip’ parts of your portfolio).

    for me, if successful race ends with a $25+ buyout - so it’s a buy at $2 and a buy at $4. I’m not currently buying because my exposure is enough for my appetite (obviously still a lot of risk), but I think it’s tremendous value at these prices.
