What makes you think BG has stopped selling?
What seems to have stopped is the 'pip trading' between lots of 3500 shares (different values have also been used in the past) in both the bid and ask queues. I have read speculation that this was MOF, not BG, however maybe no-one knows for sure. Whether this trading has stopped permanently or just to evaluate how RAC trades now the buyback is active remains to be seen.
So BG may well still be selling. If a significant percentage of prior volume was due to pip-trading and was 'artificial', it may even be the case the BG's selling was a higher percentage of the 'real' volume and that BG's selling now is higher than the previously reported 10-20% of daily volume.
I guess it's all speculation until the broker data for the last couple of days comes through (next week I expect).
