You can also argue that the buyback has created the conditions in which BG can continue selling, albeit at a higher level. Imo it's a few birds with one stone:

• The large sandbags represent a clear defensive line above $2.
• This in itself discourages the price from hitting the sandbags.
• It tells BG he is welcome to dump as much and as fast as he likes without worry.
• It tells wash traders the game is up.
• It tells genuine buyers to place their orders above the top sandbag if they want stock.
• It still gives Jarden leeway to pick off any Shaw offers up to the vwap limit.
