Thanks for the explanation. We have run into quite a few doctors who have experience with bisantrene and the response is always along the lines that it seemed such a promising drug and they ask us what happened to it. Bisantrene is a very promising alternative chemo drug, but it is also now a even more promising targeted agent.
Much like aspirin, the dose makes the effect. If you want to treat a headache you will take a high dose of aspirin when needed, if you want to stop blood clots and heart attacks you will take a low dose of aspirin every day (mini aspirin). Same drug, two totally different effects depending on the dose and the way you take it.
