I'm about to head off on a world trip (backpacking and volunteering wherever the wind takes me) and wouldn't mind making a little cash on the side so I'm not eating away at my savings... I'm thinking I'll start paper trading soon (need to set-up an excel sheet) and then test some of my theories out. Thanks for your tips, I always appreciate the unbiased view points and will look at some micro / small cap companies to test the waters - imagine this is where the biggest % gains will come from - also more potential for swings.
