With bollie bands, I find them brilliant and the more time I spend on them I’m gaining more and more. But the key to it is what ema you add to work in relation to the bollie median line. Now the median line is basically a 20SMA so you don’t need to add a 20 to your chart. W3Hunter swears by a 9ema, I love an 8. But the 8/20 or 9/20 is a very successful combination for you to play with and gain experience and confidence.
