Looking at the same period last year, this may not strictly be true. in 2022:
- RAC was consistently and brutally sold down during April-May with a 48% drop in the share price
- the first half of June was met with more selling, but punctuated with some short rallies, with a further 17% drop in the share price, bottoming at $1.45 on 17 June 2022.
- the three weeks from second half of June into early July saw a significant rally with an increase of 74% in the share price.
So in 2022 at least, it looks like the selling concluded well before the end of June, and things can turn quickly once the selling is done and people start to buy back in.
So far in 2023, since the peak of $2.01 on 4 April, we are down 29% for the April-May period (which finishes tomorrow). What June holds remains to be seen of course, but it's not a foregone conclusion that it will be a disaster.
