Real wages are down - yes.

The impact of record immigration though is not so clear cut. The historical data in Australia shows a positive impact on wages with immigration, on average(*). If you look at it in more detail - there has been a reduction in wages for low skilled jobs, and an increase for higher skilled workers. If immigration programs are poorly targeted, the risk is the continued trend in wealth inequality.

(*) always beware of extrapolating from averages. I once worked for an underwear company that completed a customer that found the average customer had one testicle. The new products that resulted from this research were a massive flop - some customers found them ill-fitting and baggy, others a tad restrictive.
