I think you misunderstood what i was saying. And to be honest, I didnt explain it very well.

I dont wait for the price to fall before I start selling. I set targets, and then use training sell orders to ride any rise beyond that target. To wait and try and pick a top is an impossible dream. With RAC my average buy was at 27c. Sells started at $2.25 on the way up, and all the shares I wanted sold were done by $2.78. I has a reasonable parcel I freeheld, but sokd those when the company decided to use CR money in a share buyback scheme.

The reason I hadnt had to pay CGT in the past is because I was a non tax resident. But that has changed now.

Buffet doesn't buy shares in this end of the market. This is the end of the market where risk is high. So is potential reward or loss. You need to manage your investment.
