Basically yes. The Australian market expects a successful biotech to look something like NEU. The idea that a true blockbuster drug might come out of Australia is seen as unbelievable - yes Australian biotechs might be able to make an ultra-orphan drug for treating a few hundred patients a year, but an Australian company developing a drug that could help millions of patients every year is seen as pure fantasy.
It is at this point that I should mention that the Australian market is almost always wrong when it comes to biotech. Do your own reasearch.
