Technical analysis is great...in a news vacuum. I trade a lot of Forex and charting is critical but you can throw it out the window when news hits. Look at what happened to Gold (XAUUSD) overnight on the US CPI announcement. Huge drop. RAC may well have news on the way that changes the direction. News is not just noise, it needs to be factored into forecasting when charting. Give me company fundamentals over market forces any day of the week.
