OK that might explain my first point - why investors aren’t finding race.
Although each time some well respected person in the field has Joline’s race I have thought - great they’ve got good networks. Some of them will look into this now, and with their credibility it won’t be dismissed so quickly. Hasn’t really worked out that way. But that is investors, scientists and biotech people.
What I can’t understand is how friends and family (normal people who don’t usually invest and will never research biotechs) aren’t taking a punt. Just like lots of people bought bitcoin because their super smart nerdy brother-in-law told them it would huge. Or someone buying an investment property in x suburb because their real estate agent uncle said it’s going to explode.
if I knew a very clever person involved with race quite well and I could sense how excited they were about this bisantrene thing, I would skip the usual research and just buy some.
There are plenty of ordinary people who will never research biotechs but would take a punt if a smart person close to them gave them a tip. Or even if they just sensed that person was convinced
Plenty of people invest in things they don’t understand if someone they trust believes in it. It’s not unusual for normal people to invest after conversations at the pubs, golf courses, BBQs etc. Doesn’t seem to be happening here though.
