You're not wrong, buyouts will definitely take the share price into account as it stands right now, but it also has to take into account market share of the drug and the potential revenue it could bring in per year. You put the two together, and realize that they currently don't add up, and atm our share price is at a massive discount as the general market clearly hasn't taken into account future potential revenue as a potent FTO inhibitor. Although, I personally believe if big pharma start TO talks in the near future, this discrepancy between MC and potential revenue will become more obvious to the general market, hopefully triggering a rerate.
