Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that someone has been placing essentially equivalent sized bids and offers on either side of the market price but seemingly far enough away to seldom be traded. I had been thinking this was to control price within a band for accumulation, but there just doesn't seem to be that much accumulation happening. Volumes traded are low. What then are their motives? Or maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there.
