I don’t understand this behaviour of companies. If you are going to miss a timeline then let your shareholders know as soon as you know and explain what you are doing to fix the problem. Not everything goes to plan, nor is everything within your control, but every company can be open with their shareholders about the problem(s) and what they are doing to fix things.
