It’s a good question because I don’t get it either and have been in the market for 20 years - I believe the buys and sells are averaged out to a price point at the start of trade - this means the people with cheap sells at the front of the queue don’t actually get their cheap price - the price is averaged up to buys on offer, but the cheap sells are ensured their trade that’s why I think they do it - same with the buys
