Kron, I'd suggest that buys of $1000-$2000 are possibly some of the poorest value of all in terms of CommSec commissions. Best value buys, strictly in terms of the cost per share of the commission, are at the higher end of each commission block, eg close to but not exceeding $1000 for $10 fee, close to but not exceeding $10,000 for $19.95 fee and close to but not exceeding $20,000 for $29.95 fee.
There are many other variables in the buy/sell equations that are likely to decrease, or possibly negate, the importance of these trading ranges but, over the course of years of trading, it all adds up.
