I'd consider myself an investor.
When buying in I usually try get a holding to allow me to derisk or sell off for some goals.
I'd probably say when I'm near a point of selling to derisk, or fund a goal, I usually get a bit nervous when its dropped ~20% from a recent high. However the reality is I sell on a day my emotions are the highest and usually regret it later.
If I buy into a company that has adequate volume for a parcel I want to sell I usually put in a trailling sell order to sell after a 15% drop after the price target... I couldn't do that originally with RAC though.
