I've never worried about bots and probably still don't really, I think the price sorts itself out in the end when the fundamentals are strong.
The thing is, it's just straight up wrong that it's allowed, if you did this in any other type of 'free' market you'd be hung, and it's just so clear cut, there's no other explanation for it other than manipulation of price.
