Technically yes, but then the bot can simply add an extra share to the sell side to push the price down. I'm a long term holder of RAC as well as another company that is in the exact same paradigm of bot trading on low volume. I use the days the bots are pushing the price down to buy on close safe in the knowledge that no matter how many I buy, the bots will add one more to the sell side to get the price down on close.

Watch tomorrow on close. If someone adds a buy, and the down bots are ascendant, then down bots will appear with a sell order that matches the buy order plus a couple of shares. I use them accumulate - I get a kick out of the fact they have to add shares to the sell side to fill my orders more cheaply - it's the least they can do for constantly manipulating the price.
