I was just wondering how everyone is classifying themselves as either a trader or an investor. The ATO guidelines are rather vague especially the example that they gave. Sometimes I buy multiple parcels such as in RAC for a long term hold but for some other stocks I sell out under a year if I no longer believe in them. So far I’ve classified myself as an investor but would the ATO take another view?
