i would like to discuss the value of these options and hoping others can critique my calculations.

I used an online Black Scholes Options calculator, with 4.35% as risk free rate (which is the current RBA cash rate), and two volatility assumptions, 50% and 100%.

According to my calculations, the options package (1BO + 3PBO) is 55.41c (50% volatility) and 130.17c (100% volatility).

please can others provide their opinions on the options values and calculations. in particular what volatility to use. @Davisite Dr T can you access a more exact RAC volatility from RAC’s accountants or registry?

The reason is has come up for me, is that I was following up my 23 year old niece, whether she received her bonus options exercise form. She said she had but will not take them up as she is now focused on ETF investment strategy. i said I was happy to take the options off her hands, and she said no problem. I wanted to show here the true current value of the options she is giving up!

Also, I was chatting to a (50 yr old) friend and he also didn’t know what do to with the options (and he works in finance industry).

Dr T, this is just some anecdotal evidence for you that RAC holders may not be fully across the options value and process.
