On the wet processing to produce HMS, the formula is as follows:
Tonnes in( X )x HG% x Recovery% = Con Tonnes x Con Grade%
X x 0.02/100 x 70/100 = 1 x 6.25/100
X = 625/1.4
So about 450T of feed produces 1T of HMS con at 6.25%REO with 70% recovery from feed to con.
Clearly more recovery = better economics. I'd say 70% recovery at that con grade is not very good.
At 0.02% REO in feed every 1% increase in recovery gives you an extra 2kg REO to con per 1000T of ore feed to HMS
