re: racial vilification - the work of sunny joe I think you will find that the land mandated to the British post WW1 (collapse of Ottoman Empire) was called "palestine" (Jordan, Israel & West bank). Later on Britain divided the territory into two with 1/4 to the jews to the west of the Jordan River (Palestine) and 3/4 to the east (trans jordan) to an arab (from what is now known as Saudi Arabia). The area known as trans jordan was then renamed Jordan.
It is the remaining 1/4 of the original "palestine" that was again divided by an UN resolution into a jewish palestinian state and an arab palestinian state. From that UN division the jews formed the State of Israel but the arabs states surrounding the one day old Israel could not accept this and went to war (which they lost).
The arabs who fled Israel during that war became the "palestinian" refugees.
The state of palestine has yet to be formed.
