I couldn't give a flying f***k if the date was changed. We're not talking about abolishing Australia Day..only a date change. Big effing deal! It seems some of you are attached to the date like babies to a dummy. As long as there is a day where we can celebrate together I can't see a problem. The current date further marginalises, discriminates, segregates, traumatises and minimises many Aboriginal people so let's change it.
Because it is was the day recorded in history as the first European settlement in Australia, a historical fact.
