yes thats their achilles heel, health and corruption by government. The catholic church didn't help much either, they as good as raped the place of it's resources along the way, along with the usual grubbyness that goes along with the church. I once saw a german priest go toe to toe with a native priest....hilarious.
Yes having to evolve in such a short time isn't easy. The aboriginals are similar, as are the africans.
