The timing is important since management are relying on the last audited accounts (to June 2018) in its defence.This is partly a circular argument. The auditors rely on management for the informationwhich is audited. In the investor webinar to respond to the assertions, managementmade confident assertions about the accounts and the company’s delivery against itsforecasts, saying that they expect to release the results of an Ernst & Young investigationwithin three weeks. But concluded by saying:“in that time, investors must form their own opinion regarding the accuracy of ouraudited financial statements.”'
