We tend to ignore what is happening above us as it is out of sight, indeed research ? has shown that many people do not know what shoes they are wearing.

Now,the altitude of the International Space Station varied in the last 12 months between 388k/s and 417k/s.

It would be assumed that the decrease in height was caused by atmospheric drag and gravity and you would be correct.

However ,the rate of decay is not consistent and indeed can be quite choppy,it was discovered that the cause was Solar Radiation effecting the outer atmosphere which in turn effectes the Space Station in it's orbit.

Do you think it possible that these changing conditions
    can also effect our weather?

As an aside ,we are about to be visited by an asteroid which will rip thru INSIDE the orbit of our stationary satellite's------don't get too comfortable!
