This is a well known typology Ebed_Keraz and the bible is resplendent with many examples of such typologies.
Pastor Doug Batchelor in this sermon does a very good job demonstrating this relationship regarding the story of Rahab the Prostitute.
Rahab was a Canaanite whore who through her knowing Yahweh was saved from the annihilation that was going to be metered out by God.

Rahab the Canaanite prostitute who became an ancestress of the Lord Jesus saved from marked destruction is the only woman besides Sarah who is designated as an example of faith in the saints who are in heaven.
